HANDS UP FOR FREEDOM

HANDS UP FOR FREEDOM

Photography

PROJECT FREEDOM is a photo project that explores the meaning of freedom in my community. The project is inspired by my ongoing photo series HANDS UP, a series I started in 2012 of images of police brutality and resistance of everyday people. In PROJECT FREEDOM I interview and photograph people in Jamaica. I ask them about what freedom means to them and where they feel free. I love the opportunity to talk to people in my community, and I appreciate them sharing their thoughts with me.
