pssst is a three-part work sited in three locations which focuses on utterances at “openings.” At an art opening, the doorway, and the porch, there are random, loaded sounds that may introduce you to a new experience or reflects the one you left behind.

The two recorded presentations – pssst #1: Agoalegba installed a JCAL gallery and pssst #2 at the King Manor Museum – are site-specific, short, looped sound pieces that explore uttered ambient sounds in which whispers throw away speech. The live performance, pssst #3 is temporal and temporary. It is a collection of short burst sound pieces, several debuting at JCAL on October 23, accompanied by electronic beats.
